Shandong HiTHIUM Enters a New Era of Scalable Delivery
Shandong HiTHIUM’s world’s first long-duration energy storage (LDES) integrated industrial park (Heze Base) production rollout ceremony was held on August 7 [2026].
As the world’s first intelligent manufacturing base purpose-built for LDES, the Heze Base demonstrates its dedication to “benchmark from day one, leadership from production rollout.” It is a significant milestone for HiTHIUM’s LDES commitment and developing global integrated industrial layout, and will help promote the company into a new age of global LDES integrated intelligent production and scaled delivery.
Shandong HiTHIUM’s world’s first LDES integrated industrial park
LDES is significant as it enables the integration of renewable energy sources such as solar and wind, which are variable and require extended storage capabilities to maintain grid stability. LDES also becomes essential for managing multi-day gaps in energy supply as demand increases for reliable clean power from data centres and industrial sites.
The Shandong Heze project is the world’s first fully integrated industrial park for LDES with a planned total area of around 80 hectares and a total investment of more than RMB 13 billion throughout the whole industrial chain. The project has been identified as an important national private investment project and a flagship project for the development of the new energy system in Shandong Province.
The facility is built on a whole-industry-chain strategy encompassing intelligent manufacturing of LFP battery cells, module and system integration, creation of novel materials, and processing of upstream raw materials, achieving end-to-end integration from materials to cells and systems.
Wang Pengcheng, Co-founder and CEO of HiTHIUM and Chairman of Shandong HiTHIUM, stated, “The production rollout marks a new phase for the Heze Base in scalable manufacturing, market-oriented delivery, and ecosystem development.
