The Asian Financial Forum – January 26-27, 2026 in Hong Kong
The Asian Financial Forum (AFF), scheduled for 26-27 January 2026, serves as the anchor event organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) for International Finance Week 2026. It convenes a series of sessions focused on a wide range of pertinent issues confronting the global financial and business sectors, including sustainability investment, private equity, alternative assets, and family offices. The annual event will be held at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre.
Under the topic “Co-creating New Horizons amid an Evolving Landscape,” AFF 2026 will examine how global business communities and governments may collaboratively develop new opportunities for growth across multiple regions and industries amidst dynamic changes. The new Forum Tagline “Finance Empowering Business” will highlight AFF 2026, focussing on high-growth industries and innovation, while examining the relationship between finance and the real economy.
This year, AFF will become AFF+ to delve deeper into the topic of high-growth sectors’ impact on the world economy and to investigate potential opportunities in emerging countries like the ASEAN and Middle Eastern ones. AFF+ is also launching the inaugural Global Business Summit on Day 2 of AFF, highlighting high-growth industries and their integration with financial sectors.
AFF+ will present exhibition zones designed to foster business connections and facilitate networking opportunities, including the FutureGreen Showcase, InnoVenture Salon & FintechHK Startup Salon, and Global Investment Zone.More than 140 global financial institutions, technology firms, corporations, solution providers, start-ups, and investment promotion agencies facilitated the promotion of business concepts, environmentally focused initiatives, and technology-driven solutions, fostering connections through networking.
As a vital component of the forum, the Deal-Making session facilitates one-on-one interactions between investors and deal sources, allowing participants to connect with prospective business partners from across the globe. At AFF 2025, more than 720 meetings were organised for over 560 project owners and more than 280 investors across various sectors, including fintech, environmental technology, energy and clean tech, food and agriculture, healthcare technology, deep tech, infrastructure, real estate, and others.
In 2026, there will be 10 priority sectors for the deal making sessions as follows:
