Next generation Integrated Maritime Communication Solution launched

The next-generation Integrated Maritime Communication Solution was launched today [July 31, 2025] at the Indonesia International Maritime Exhibition (INAMARINE 2025) by Tongyu Communication – a leader in communication infrastructure worldwide. This industry-first “satellite-ship-terminal” ecosystem provides end-to-end intelligent connectivity for international shipping. It does this by combining shipborne satcom-on-the-move (SOTM), MacroWiFi intelligent mesh networking, high-performance satellite antennas, and portable terminals through converged space-ground and air-sea architecture.

The Intelligent SOTM System’s unique phased-array terminal facilitates a smooth transition of LEO/GEO satellites and ensures continuous broadband connectivity throughout transoceanic flights. Other highlights include:

• Maritime MacroWiFi Solution: This hybrid “satellite backhaul + shipborne access” design facilitates 200+ concurrent connections and 2km-range transmission while guaranteeing effective bandwidth allocation for uninterrupted connectivity.
  • A 1.2-meter Ku-Band satellite antenna
  provides more than 99% signal stability in hurricane-force winds, guaranteeing accurate signal tracking even in the face of severe weather.
  • The 1.2 kg, ultra-light portable terminal may be quickly deployed in 3 minutes and fulfills emergency communication requirements in distress situations.

The solution combines high-performance shipborne terminals with cutting-edge Low Earth Orbit (LEO) and Geostationary Orbit (GEO) satellite technologies to provide seamless worldwide marine coverage. Stable high-speed connectivity is provided to vessels operating in crowded ports, offshore platforms, or open oceans for mission-critical data transmission, HD monitoring, navigation management, and life-saving distress messages.
