Hong Kong International Airport Boosts GBA Services with “Park & Visit”

Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) advised the debut of a new “Park & Visit” service starting on  July 16 [2026]. This follows on from the expansion, of its “Park & Fly” service broadened to all cities in the Greater Bay Area (GBA) which began in mid-June [2026].These changes will make it easier for travellers driving to HKIA for further flights as well as those travelling to Hong Kong for pleasure.

HKIA began offering the “Park & Fly” service in November 2025, serving qualified vehicles (including single-plate vehicles) from four Guangdong cities – Guangzhou, Zhongshan, Zhuhai, and Jiangmen – as well as Macao in the Greater Bay Area. The Southbound Travel for Guangdong Vehicles initiative was expanded on June 9, this year, to include five additional Guangdong cities – Shenzhen, Dongguan, Huizhou, Foshan, and Zhaoqing – and travellers from these places would be eligible to register for Park & Fly.

Starting from June 15, qualified customers have been able to drive across the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge (HZMB) to the automated car park adjacent to HKIA, park their automobiles, and travel to worldwide destinations via HKIA without having to clear Hong Kong border procedures. Furthermore, qualifying passengers may request a refund for the air passenger departure.

The new Park & Visit service will be launched on July 16 to facilitate inbound car travel to Hong Kong, and GBA-registered vehicles will be eligible to apply. Starting July 25, approved applicants can drive through the HZMB to the automated car park, use the automated parking system, and ride a shuttle bus to the HZMB Hong Kong Port to complete immigration formalities and enter Hong Kong.
