Connecting Innovation with Global Demand
140th Canton Fair
The 140th Canton Fair began on October 15 and will be held in three stages. There will be more than 700 New Collection events and to ensure these ideas find their way to a wider audience the show has launched a number of initiatives to boost product visibility and enable commercial connections.
Canton Fair New Collection Gallery Makes Debut
The 140th Canton Fair offered a separate Canton Fair New Collection Gallery for the first time. The gallery is situated close to the platform between Area A and B and comprises three sections – a product showcase, a digital engagement section and a business matching zone.
All sections constitute a single platform together for product exhibition and business matchmaking. The design allows buyers and exhibitors to connect more easily, facilitating on-site trade talks and demand matching all through the show.

Exhibition Goes Live Stream
The Canton Fair is integrating its physical display with livestreaming activities, to enable worldwide buyers to keep abreast of growing prospects in real time. A series of highlighted broadcasts will showcase exhibition visits, product demonstrations and new product launches in a variety of industries.
These live feeds take product presentations beyond the exhibition floor and make the latest developments and industry trends easily accessible for international customers – wherever they are.
Theme Launch Events
There are also daily New Collection Theme Release events on the central platform between Area A and B during the show. The featured themes in Phase 1 include smart living appliances, service robots, low-altitude smart inspection, smart electronics, precision tools and green energy storage. These sessions give exhibitors further opportunities to showcase freshly introduced items and directly engage with buyers from all over the world.
As the Canton Fair continues to change with global trade, its upgraded launch platforms, digital engagement efforts and business matching services indicate a deepening commitment to helping innovative products find market exposure and speed up commercial prospects. The fair will use its 70 years as a gateway for international business collaboration in China and a premier product innovation showcase by providing more touchpoints between exhibitors and buyers.
Circular economy
The principles of the circular economy are becoming more apparent in both industry practices and products as sustainability transitions from a corporate commitment to a business imperative. This transformation is also evident at the 140th Canton Fair.

Developing Home Products with Extended Lifecycles
Circular design continues to be a prominent theme in the home and lifestyle products that are showcased at the fair. Sleep solutions are incorporating durable structures with bio-based and low-carbon materials to enhance product longevity and decrease resource consumption. Manufacturers prioritise recyclable components, repairability, and internationally recognised environmental certifications in addition to comfort and support. These attributes reduce waste and prolong the lifespan of products.
In addition to sleep solutions, furniture exhibitors are also investigating novel methods of material reuse. Seating products made from recycled plastics recovered from discarded appliances and marine waste serve as an illustration of the potential of post-consumer materials to be converted into high-value consumer goods. These products maintain performance and safety standards while reducing dependence on virgin resources, thanks to their ergonomic design, modular construction, and enhanced durability.
Furniture made from reclaimed wood represents an additional method of achieving circularity. Manufacturers preserve material value, reduce waste, and produce products that are characterised by a unique sense of history and craftsmanship by repurposing previously used timber.
A Trade Fair Influenced by Circular Principles
The Canton Fair’s dedication to sustainability is not limited to its exhibition halls. It has been a testing ground for greener exhibition practices over the past decade, contributing to the transformation of an industry that was previously associated with large volumes of disposable construction materials and post-event waste.
The fair has now implemented green booths, which are modular, reusable systems that have replaced conventional, one-time-use structures. This change substantially diminishes construction waste while simultaneously enhancing safety and efficiency. The experience acquired through years of implementation subsequently contributed to the development of national standards for green exhibition booths, exhibition operations, and venue safety management, establishing a framework that has since influenced other major exhibitions and venues throughout China.
Consumer Electronics|information Products zone
The Consumer Electronics and Information Products zone once again serves as a showcase for the latest achievements in China’s manufacturing and technology industries.
An Ageing and Globalised Market is Addressed by Smart Life Solutions
The emphasis on smart living is a standout feature of this section, as it unites intelligent solutions that are intended to facilitate more autonomous, secure, and healthier lifestyles.
For instance, continuous glucose monitoring systems and wearable devices facilitate the easy monitoring of critical health indicators, including blood glucose levels and heart rate. In the interim, wearable exoskeletons and other AI-powered devices facilitate functional recovery and mobility training. Companion robots, electric nursing beds, and home-use hyperbaric oxygen chambers provide a combination of daily care, wellness support, and lifestyle assistance for home and geriatric home care. Health management, personal care, and independent living are becoming increasingly accessible and connected as a result of the increasing trend toward technology-enabled living, as evidenced by all of these solutions.

Service Robots Illustrate Growing Real-World Applications
In this edition, the Service Robot Zone continues to be one of the most popular attractions at the fair. A humanoid robot that is approximately 70–80 centimetres in height is one of the audience favourites. The robot’s expressive movements and playful appearance captivate onlookers as it dances, approaches visitors, and occasionally performs flips. The company responsible for the product has successfully surmounted significant obstacles in the development of modular humanoid robots and compact joint modules. Its modular architecture offers adaptability for a diverse array of future applications, while its high-power-density joints, which were independently developed, provide remarkable agility and explosive movement.
The Service Robot Zone encompasses a diverse array of application areas, such as urban services, smart living, embodied intelligence, and specialised operations. Wheeled robots, dexterous hands with multimodal sensing capabilities, and full-size humanoid robots are emblematic of the most recent developments in motion control, perception technologies, and artificial intelligence. Exhibitors are showcasing robotic inspection systems, live-line maintenance robots, and underwater propulsion robots that are specifically designed to enhance operational efficiency and safety in challenging industrial and emergency environments.
The commercial services sector is also well-represented by reception robots, façade-cleaning robots, and fully automated coffee kiosks. In everyday life, wearable exoskeletons, robotic lawn mowers, and educational robots for home use are among the applications. Collectively, these exhibits illustrate the rapidity with which China’s robotics industry is transitioning from technological innovation to large-scale commercialisation.
As the 140th Canton Fair commences, the innovations that are being displayed underscore China’s increasing proficiency in advanced manufacturing, transforming cutting-edge technologies into practical, market-ready solutions for global consumers.
