Abu Dhabi to showcase future of smart mobility
Abu Dhabi is set to host its inaugural Autonomous Week, highlighting the future of smart mobility.From November 10-15, 2025, Abu Dhabi will play host to the first-ever Abu Dhabi Autonomous Week (ADAW), which will unite world-renowned experts in smart mobility, autonomous systems, and sophisticated robotics.
Aimed at bringing together world-renowned experts in artificial intelligence (AI), robotics (RO), smart mobility (SM), and autonomous technology (AVs), Abu Dhabi Autonomous Week is being organised by the Smart and Autonomous Systems Council (SASC), which is responsible for guiding the smart and autonomous technologies sector in Abu Dhabi through policymaking, collaboration, and strategic planning.
The Council’s efforts have already facilitated several autonomous milestones in Abu Dhabi, including demonstrations of public electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) passenger aircraft and trials of level 4 autonomous shuttle vehicles, which are among the latest projects occurring in the emirate. Abu Dhabi hosts the Smart and Autonomous Vehicle Industries (SAVI) cluster, which was launched in October 2023 by the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development (ADDED) and the Abu Dhabi Investment Office (ADIO). SAVI, situated in Masdar City, positions the emirate as a worldwide centre for smart and autonomous mobility, encompassing applications in autonomous vehicles, eVTOL aircraft, maritime systems, and robotics.
The initiation of Abu Dhabi Autonomous Week bolsters the UAE capital’s efforts in advancing the future of smart and autonomous systems technologies, while steering the global evolution of the sector and fostering a cohesive, innovation-focused ecosystem. With support from the government, exceptional infrastructure, and an advanced regulatory framework, the emirate is swiftly advancing the implementation of autonomous transport systems, such as Robotaxis and autonomous buses, across various domains including land, air, sea, and industrial applications, thereby improving efficiency, safety, and sustainability.

10 November – Autonomous Summit
To kick off the six-day program, the Abu Dhabi Autonomous Summit will bring together leaders in the industry, government officials, and investors for high-level discussions that will shape the future of intelligent mobility.
November 10th until the 12th – DRIFTx Display
Over the course of three days, DRIFTx will host an interactive exhibition showcasing smart and autonomous mobility technologies for land, air, sea, and robots.
RoboCup Asia-Pacific, November 10-15
Taking place simultaneously from November 10-15, RoboCup Asia-Pacific 2025, sponsored by Khalifa University, will be the first of its kind in the MENA area. It will feature competitions in autonomous robots powered by artificial intelligence, and it will attract the best teams from around the world.
Abu Dhabi Autonomous Racing League (A2RL)November 15
It will showcase state-of-the-art autonomous racing technology at its second edition,marking the end of Abu Dhabi Autonomous Week (ADAW). The event, which is co-hosted by ASPIRE and the Advanced Technology Research Council (ATRC) in Abu Dhabi, will attract top research teams from ten different nations and offer a prize pool of $2.5 million.
