3rd China International Supply Chain Expo – Beijing

From July 16–20, 2025, the China International Exhibition Centre in Beijing hosted the 3rd China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE). The third CISCE, was organized around six main areas showcasing the latest advancements in manufacturing and associated industries around the world.

 

Purpose

 

The occasion emphasised how the productive forces of the next generation are influencing industrial transformation and boosting global competitiveness. The purpose of this year’s expo was to encourage greater interaction between Chinese and foreign businesses in order to develop a more cohesive and progressive industrial ecosystem.

 

 

Participants

 

With 651 businesses and institutions from 75 countries and regions, as well as international organisations (including UN agencies), participating in its third year, the CISCE boasted a wide international participation and a strong focus on innovation. 170 delegations from abroad agreed to participate in the business matchmaking process. This included 500 supply chain affiliates, with more than 65% of attendees coming from Fortune 500 businesses & other industry heavyweights.

Speakers at the launch ceremony on July 16 included South African Deputy President Paul Mashatile; Thailand’s Deputy Permanent Secretary of Commerce, Ekachat Seetavorarat; Jensen Huang, founder and CEO of NVIDIA; John W.H. Denton, Secretary General of the International Chamber of Commerce; Sherard Cowper-Coles, Chair of the China-Britain Business Council; and Liao Lin, Chairman of the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC). More than 1,100 participants representing governments, the private sectors, academia, and civil society from over 100 countries, regions, and international organisations attended the launch event.

The event was officiated by CCPIT Chairman Ren Hongbin. “This year’s Expo has a more defined supply chain structure, more international participation, and a greater focus on innovation,” he said. Ren urged members of the international business community to cooperate and engage constructively in order to support the multilateral trading system based on the World trading Organization. “CCPIT will continue to support both domestic and foreign businesses, uphold the global public good character of supply chains and industry, and help build an open global economy and a shared future for humanity,” he added.

 

Event

 

Hosted by CCPIT, the 3rd CISCE was held from July 16 to 20 under the theme Connecting the World for a Shared Future. Five international organizations supported the event as partners, including the UN Trade and Development (UNCTAD), the UN Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL), the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), the International Trade Centre (ITC), and the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC).

The provinces of Shandong and Guangdong were highlighted as Guest Provinces of Honor, and Thailand was the Guest Country of Honor. Advanced Manufacturing Chain, Smart Vehicle Chain, Green Agriculture Chain, Clean Energy Chain, Digital Technology Chain, Healthy Life Chain, and Supply Chain Service Area were the six major industrial chains showcased at this year’s Expo, along with one display area.

Showcasing state-of-the-art technologies, goods, and services throughout the whole supply chain, 651 businesses and organisations from 75 countries and regions took part in the Expo. Notably, 35% of the overall exhibitors were international.

The Innovation Chain zone, where 14 participating organisations showcased the full innovation transformation chain through three key modules—”Policy Support,” “Platform Enablement,” and “Service Coordination”—presented the full-cycle innovation process from basic research and technological development to industrial application and market response. CISCE 2025 also introduced two new exhibition zones for the first time: the CISCE Launch zone, which showcased exhibitors’ latest products, technologies, processes, and application scenarios.
