Service Robots spotlight at 137th Canton Fair

As robotics technology continues to evolve at an unprecedented pace, the Canton Fair’s introduction of the Service Robots Zone highlights the swift integration of intelligent machines into everyday life. Covering 4,200 square metres and featuring 46 companies, the zone highlighted practical and personal applications of robotics, including brewing coffee, lawn mowing, and household assistance as part of everyday living.

The 137th China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair) has been held biannually since 1957 and is China’s largest and most comprehensive international trade fair, attracting over 26,000 exhibitors and 200,000 global buyers from more than two hundred countries. It is held in three phases starting on April 15 through to May 5 at the Canton Fair Complex, Guangzhou,China.

Some of the exhibits in this new Service Robots Zone cater to coffee enthusiasts seeking a reliable caffeine boost. AUBO Robotics has developed an advanced coffee barista robot that autonomously manages the entire coffee preparation process. Equipped with synchronized robotic limbs and an autonomous learning system, this robot handles tasks from tamping and extraction to intricate milk frothing with precision. It boasts a capacity of producing up to three hundred cups per day and supports real-time online upgrades, ensuring consistent performance without fatigue. In addition to the barista robot, AUBO showcased a massage robot at the event, which attracted significant interest from buyers, highlighting the company’s expertise as a collaborative robotics company.

Dreame Technology’s AI-powered weeding robot transforms backyard maintenance into a fully hands-free task. Equipped with 3D laser radar sensors and forward-facing cameras, it precisely maps boundaries and navigates around obstacles. Its floating blade system intelligently adjusts to varying grass heights and terrain, and the robot is ready for immediate use straight out of the box.

For pool owners, Seauto Robots presented the SAT 20 series pool cleaning robots, which feature enhanced battery capacity and intelligent navigation for comprehensive corner-to-corner cleaning. Offering multiple cleaning modes, these robots deliver market-leading performance with minimal user effort, ensuring pools remain sparkling clean.

In the realm of restaurant dining, consumers may experience Keenon Robotics’ T10 service robot, designed to deliver meals with both efficiency and elegance. Capable of maneuvering through aisles as narrow as fifty centimetres while carrying loads of up to forty kilograms, the T10 is equipped with a next-generation shock-absorption chassis that ensures smooth and stable deliveries. Its customisable features, including interactive head movements and decorative accessories, adds a touch of personality to its functional role, enhancing the overall dining experience.

The robot’s advanced sensor fusion technology—comprising four stereo vision sensors and LiDAR—enables precise obstacle detection and seamless navigation in crowded environments. Additionally, a 23.8-inch high-resolution screen supports self-pickup guidance and advertising, making the T10 an ideal solution for restaurants, hotels, and retail establishments. Since its launch, the T10 has been deployed in over sixty countries, demonstrating its global acceptance and operational reliability.

In showcasing innovations from forty-six leading companies, the Fair not only affirms China’s position at the forefront of AI and robotics development but also facilitates connections between international buyers and the future of smart living. The golden age of robotics has truly arrived.
